Many students find high-volume licensing courses intimidating. We built The Foundation Course to serve as a low-stress, private pre-requisite to the programs we mention below. Whether you want to master a scooter or a motorcycle, we provide the gear, the vehicle, and 1-on-1 attention to ensure you are fully prepared for the road and the state exam.
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, and have a valid Motorcycle Learner's Permit if learning how to ride a motorcycle.

Completing The Foundation Course doesn’t just make you a better rider—it makes you part of our community. Graduates receive a 15% discount on all rentals for the remainder of the calendar year.
Ride Chicago is a private alternative to the IDOT motorcycle training program as they too provide professional instruction for all skill levels and motorcycles/scooters for students to use. In addition to the offerings of the IDOT program, Ride Chicago offers private lessons, online motorcycle instruction, and a more flexible, quicker schedule. Their Basic Motorcycle Licensing Class is 449.00 in which upon completion receive your motorcycle endorsement. The Illinois Department of Transportation offers various motorcycle training courses for riders of all skill and experience, including its Basic Rider Course focused on newbies, and Advanced Rider Course dedicated to more experienced riders. IDOT will provide resources necessary for the training, including motorcycles/scooters. The great thing about IDOT is all their courses are Free for Illinois residents (only have to pay 20$ to reserve your spot but is refunded once you attend the course). Completing the program will waive the Secretary of State (SOS) requirement of the motorcycle written and road test to get your Motorcycle endorsement for those 18 years or older. IDOT host their courses at local colleges throughout the state. If interested, enroll asap as their courses fill up quickly and the waitlist can be lengthy.
